A bride and groom embracing in front of fall foliage at a Paletta Mansion wedding.

When looking for a wedding photographer based in Burlington, Ontario, it’s important you find someone who has experience photographing the area you’re getting married in and can match the style of photography you are looking for. When Jennifer and Dustin chose Paletta Mansion as their venue, they were given a list of preferred vendors to work with. Paletta Mansion is one of my favourite places to shoot wedding photography and I am proud to be one of their preferred vendors. We were excited when Jennifer and Dustin contacted us for their wedding photography & videography needs.

Getting ready |  The Warman Room & The Library

The bride and groom mostly got ready at their houses before going to the venue. They decided to do the finishing touches and wear their wedding attire at Paletta Mansion.

Dustin got ready in The Library (The Royal Bank Room) on the first floor with his mom and his groomsmen present, while Jennifer was not too far away with her bridesmaid and her mom helping her get ready upstairs. Jennifer chose soft, flowing curls for her hair, perfectly matching her lace-top fitted dress.

Wedding Ceremony | Outdoor Terrace, Paletta Mansion

Everyone falls in love with the outdoor ceremony backdrop this Burlington wedding venue offers: overlooking the lake and with the fall colours, it is just a painting of perfection.

The couple set up a beautiful archway with flowing white fabric draped around it and white roses attached in the upper corner.

Jennifer and Dustin decided not to do a first look before the ceremony, so it was the first time the couple saw each other at the altar. Their love for each other was so evident, and it was hard not to smile along with them as they said their vows.

Wedding Photoshoot

After the ceremony, we to use the grounds for pictures with the couple’s closest family and friends. The fall leaves were scattered on the ground and the bright colours were a perfect addition to their wedding photographs. There were even some trees that still had all of their leaves but had turned bright red, so they popped against the greenery of the other trees on the grounds.

What I love about Paletta Mansion grounds is the variation of backdrops for my couple’s engagement and wedding photos: bright and clean Lake Ontario beach and water, greenery from the old trees, and the stone walls of the mansion.

And if the weather is not cooperating, there is a stunning staircase inside, and the bride and groom’s rooms can be used for formal photos as well.

Coctails & Reception | The Great Room, Paletta Mansion

During the photoshoot, Jennifer and Dustin’s guests were able to enjoy a cocktail hour and the bride and groom joined them after the pictures were done. Everyone enjoyed a few drinks before the reception started.

The reception space was lined with candles, giving the space a very soft and romantic feel. The tables had white linens with greenery for centrepieces. They could add candles to each table to light up the space once nightfall sets.

After the grand entrance, the couple had their first dance while all their guests were there to witness the love these two share.

When it came time to cut the cake, Jennifer had cake knives of her that were special to her: used by her parents on their wedding day. They used these cake knives to cut their wedding cake.

The night continued with speeches given by friends and family as well as by the bride and groom. They also shared in a father-daughter dance and mother-son dance before opening the dance floor to all their guests.

Their guests spent the rest of the night dancing and enjoying a few drinks. This was the end of the perfect day for this couple!

We live only 10 minutes away from Paletta Mansion, and were lucky to photograph more weddings and engagements there. Click on links below to see more of our work, or reach out to me directly to see full galleries.
