Engagement Photo Shoot at Humber Bay Park, Toronto
I met Bonita and Gesnelson about a year ago when they booked me to photograph their upcoming branch wedding in Toronto. They did decide, after booking for the wedding, that they wanted to do an engagement shoot too. Engagement photo shoots are a great way for the couple and the photographer to get to know each other. You can build some comfort being in front of the camera, preview the pictures before the wedding day and use them for the slideshow or wedding invitations.
Brunch Wedding at a golf course | Bayview Golf & Country Club, Thornhill
Bonita & Gesnelson are planning a brunch wedding at a local golf course, Bayview Golf, and Country Club, but they wanted to have their engagements photos done at another location. We decided to take the pictures at Humber Bay Park, on a bright and warm Sunday evening. Once we got there, we were able to sneak in a few pictures right before it start to pour rain! Since our photo shoot was ruined by the water pouring from the sky like crazy, I proposed to have another photo shoot on a drier day and the couple ended up getting two mini engagement sessions.
Toronto Engagement Photoshoot: Laid-back & Airy
Bonita chose a beautiful and comfortable summer dress for the photo shoot with pops of colour that stood out against the greenery of the park. Gesnelson was wearing laid back jeans and a t shirt. Their outfits completely reflected their personality as a couple, and the casual nature of their venue matched well with the look and outfits this couple selected.
As a couple, Gesnelson and Bonita are pretty laid back and a lot of fun. During their first engagement session, though, they were nervous and it took a little bit of time to get comfortable in front of the camera. Knowing that they were nervous to begin with, it made this engagement photo shoot especially important so they felt more comfortable on their big day. I was talking to them through the pictures, and in no time they were laughing and I could capture some amazing natural looking shots.
In looking at the pictures, these two lovebirds are very happy with the outcome and are glad they chose to do an engagement shoot before their big day. I cannot wait to capture their wedding day in just two days!
