Erin and Jake’s Pearle Hotel & Spa wedding took place on a warm, sunny September day. The couple chose to hire a local team of Burlington wedding photographers and videographers to capture their day—and for good reason.
As Burlington-based photographers, Matt and I live just five minutes away from the venue. This proximity gives us an intimate knowledge of the Pearle Hotel & Spa and the surrounding area, including the best locations for stunning photos and videos. Since downtown Burlington can get quite busy during the summer months, we know exactly where to take you to capture those serene, waterfront moments without the crowds.
The Pearle Hotel & Spa is a breathtaking venue, offering incredible backdrops year-round. But as locals, we also know the ideal backup locations nearby—whether it’s a charming indoor spot for a rainy day or a cozy setting to escape freezing temperatures.
Beyond our knowledge of the area, hiring local vendors has other benefits, like eliminating travel fees and ensuring timely arrival on the wedding day. With our team, you can rest assured that we’re not just prepared—we’re deeply connected to the community, and that makes all the difference when it comes to capturing your day beautifully and seamlessly.
Morning getting ready | Family homes, Burlington
Erin was getting ready at her parents home in Burlington, while Jake was getting ready at their house just 5 minutes away. We started with some detail and robe shots, followed by champagne toast. Erin popped a champagne like a pro, and admitted that this is not her first rodeo. After that we knew we were in for a fun-filled day.
Wedding Ceremony | Pearle Hotel & Spa, Burlington, ON
The wedding ceremony space at the Pearle, The Northshore Room, is a dream for engaged couples looking for a simple room filled with natural light overlooking Lake Ontario. It can accommodate up to 300 guests.
It exudes modern elegance and simplicity. The room features a minimalist design with clean lines and a neutral color palette of soft whites and light wood tones, which is a perfect backdrop for any floral arrangements and colours.
Florals designed by Jodi Leigh Designs feature a mix of soft pastel blooms, including blush and peach roses, delicate white flowers, and touches of dusty blue. Lush greenery adds texture and depth to the design, enhancing the romantic atmosphere.
The ceremony was the pinnacle of the day, the moment when Erin and Jake committed before their loved ones to spend their lives together. As they exchanged heartfelt vows, their voices brimming with emotion, we photographed every detail: The joyful tears in their eyes, the affectionate way they held hands, the proud smiles of parents in the front row.
Wedding Photoshoot at Pearle Hotel | Lake Ontario Waterfront
During the initial meeting, I ask my couples how they feel in front of the camera. While Erin & Jake have playful and confident personality, they were still looking for someone who can guide them through the entire photoshoot, pick the nicest spots for their wedding photos and provide props.
This wedding photoshoot just outside of The Pearle Hotel and at the Lake Ontario’s waterfront near Spencer’s Park in Burlington was nothing short of a dream. The mix of stunning natural views and the sleek, modern vibe of the venue created the perfect setting for Erin and Jake’s big day.
The couple’s portraits by the water felt effortlessly romantic. Between the rocky paths, the gentle waves of the lake, and the soft summer light, everything came together so naturally. Erin’s simple yet elegant dress, paired with her flowing veil, was pure perfection, and Jake looked so sharp in his classic tux. Bride’s bouquet, filled with soft pastels and pops of colour, tied it all together beautifully.
The bridal party brought so much fun and energy to the day. The bridesmaids looked amazing in their mauve dresses, and the groomsmen kept it classic with their black tuxedos. Their laughter and smiles made the group shots feel genuine and full of life.
Shooting at this spot was such a joy. The waterfront gave us those peaceful, scenic moments, while The Pearle Hotel added a modern, polished touch.
Coctails & Wedding Reception | The Edgewater Room, Pearle Hotel & Spa
If the ceremony was the heart of the wedding, the reception was the soul. Laughter, cheers, dancing, and merriment infused the splendid ballroom of the Edgewater Room. We strived through our photography to encapsulate the energy, the passion, and the romance of every moment.
The way Erin and Jake lost themselves in their first dance, gazing into one another’s eyes, oblivious to the crowd around them. The hilarious, heartfelt speeches from the maid of honor and best man that had the guests roaring. The crazy dance moves of Erin’s cousins who tore up the dance floor. Every detail revealed the fun, celebratory spirit of the day.
As husband and wife photographers, we strive to capture authentic moments. Natalia has a knack for putting couples at ease, allowing real emotions to shine. Our cinematic editing highlights significant occasions like reciting vows or that first dance displaying newlywed affection. By focusing on these meaningful details, we encapsulate the essence of romantic love so couples can forever revisit the joyful memories we preserve.
