A bride and groom embrace in front of a waterfall at Ancaster Mill

As a Hamilton wedding photographer, I can’t wait to hear the couple’s love stories, and their vision for the wedding day.

When I first met Natalia and Richard to learn more about their Ancaster Mill Wedding, not only did we share the same name with the bride, but our connection went beyond that. Natalia emanated a calm and positive personality, coupled with a love for organic, natural wedding photography. When they chose me to capture their engagement and wedding day, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. What made it even more exciting, was the backdrop for their wedding celebration: Ancaster Mill, one of my favourite wedding venues in Hamilton.

The First Look | Ancaster Town Hall Gazebo

The wedding day of Natalia & Richard was warm and sunny, casting a golden glow, and making surrounding fall leaves even more vivid and vibrant.  The Ancaster Town Hall Gazebo provided a beautiful setting for their first look, surrounded by leaves painted in the rich hues of fall.

Wedding Ceremony | The Miller’s Chapel, Ancaster Mill

Natalia and Richard got married at the Miller’s Chapel at Ancaster Mill. Besides sharing personal vows, they added a unique touch to their ceremony. The couple performed a Tree Unity Ceremony, symbolizing the roots of their relationship growing stronger over time.

Wedding Photoshoot | Ancaster Mill grounds

With the ceremony behind us, we ventured into the picturesque grounds of Ancaster Mill for their wedding photos. The waterfall, bridge and popping fall colours were just a perfect backdrop for their pictures.

Coctails & Wedding Reception |  The Governor’s Room, Ancaster Mill

As the day transitioned into the reception, Natalia and Richard surprised their guests with not just once, but two special performances. Natalia took center stage, showcasing her vocal talents, while Richard strummed the strings of his guitar. It was a beautiful collaboration that added one more personal touch to the celebration.

To kick off the dancefloor festivities, the couple organized a Mini Flash mob, infusing the reception with energy and excitement. Right after that, the dancefloor came alive with laughter, joy, and the collective celebration of love.

We finished the night by taking some photos outside, playing with the lights, and trying uniquely flavoured donuts from one of the couple’s favourite Hamilton bakery.

Capturing Natalia and Richard’s wedding day at Ancaster Mill was a true privilege. Their love story unfolded against the backdrop of a beautiful venue, filled with personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs. As a Hamilton wedding photographer, it’s moments like these that remind me of the magic inherent in love and the joy of preserving those moments for eternity. Cheers to Natalia and Richard, and to a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and countless beautiful memories.
